Charlie was brought up in the traditional family that ran a small business. After having received his Technical Certificate of Electronics Engineering, he obtained Full Tech Telecoms qualifications from the City & Guide of London Institute.

Upon completion of Military service, he joined IBM as a Customer Engineer of the then Office Product Division. In 1977, he left IBM to pursue his studies in University of Wales, Swansea where he graduated with a B.Sc. Degree - Computer Technology in 1980.

On returning to Asia, he actively spearhead his believes in Communications & Computing in the area of Sales & Marketing; Business Management; R & D; High –Tech; Knowledge economy; Initiating for many Nations & the Regions. The Fortune 500 Corporations that he worked with and helped gain their success includes Texas Instruments; NEC; ICL/Fujitsu; Perkins Elmer (Robotics & Plasma); Philips Telecommunications & Data Systems, Silicon Compilation...

He is a pioneer on Corporate Culture in the 2nd half of 80's. He instrumented the Excellence in New Philips Corporate Culture (Known as Operation Centurion). He also initiated the Integration of Mainframe (Tandem); Unix Box (Motorola); Philips PCs; Local; Regional; National & Global Network using various firmware & software which include the then Corel; Boland; WordPerfect; Lotus; Novel; 3Com; AutoDesk; EDI; Wang; ATM; PC Banking…etc, all while he was at Philips.

In the 90s, Charlie main focus was in the Business Channel for Computers, Software; Printers, Peripherals & accessories. During this period, he was stationed mostly in Malaysia. He initiated the concept of Regional Center for Computers & Communications, and Multi-Media. This concept later became the “Multi-Media Super Corridor”.

At the business front, he achieved significant success in spearheading the PC Packaging & IBM-Lexmark Printers business in South East Asia.

In the mid 90s, he is the founder/ Initiator of e-Commerce; e-Business, e-Services; e-Government Concept & implementations in Asia & the Pacific Region. Also, he is active in EU global Electronics Marketplace initiatives. He is a believer & advocator of the knowledge economy & e-Economy.

Presently, Charlie has been actively working on Project Development & Consultancy between China & the US. He is also into researching and learning about the Green Build, Sustainability, Energy Saving, Water & Air pollutions & Remedies.

He has invested a vast amount of his time & resources in studies - Understanding the impact of the changing economy on the lives of Baby Boomers and others.

Charlie has designed; published & maintaining many blogs with wide range of subjects. They include Economy; Power & Politics; Leadership; Corporate Culture; Green; Sustainability; Energy Saving; Food; Drinks; Health; Culture; People; NaNo; Technology; Visions; Natures; Imaging; Photography & Arts...etc.

He has many interests, and his passions includes Digital Imaging; Arts; Marketing & Sales; Business Development; Management; Environments; Political Analysis; Research; Trouble Shooting; Economy; Technology.
